One District One Product supports micro and small units making their district's identified product. It runs as six separate sub-schemes โ€” margin money, technology, quality certification, trade fairs, e-commerce and website support โ€” each with its own ceiling, its own eligibility test and its own application. They are claimed individually, not as one package.

1. Margin money subsidy

EnterpriseSubsidyCeiling
New micro enterprises25% of eligible project costโ‚น15 lakh
New small enterprises15% of eligible project costโ‚น20 lakh
SC/ST, women, PwBD, or entrepreneurs under 35Additional benefitUp to a further โ‚น5 lakh

Eligible project cost is narrower than your project cost

Only four heads count: new building and shed including registration charges โ€” capped at 25% of project cost; new plant, machinery and equipment including tools, jigs, fixtures, essential office equipment and furniture, lab equipment, pollution control devices and generators; electrification charges; and working capital capped at 10% of project cost or one working cycle, whichever is lower. Land is not on that list.

Margin money is released only after the financial institution disburses a loan amount at least equal to the grant, and it is placed with that institution as a short-term deposit rather than paid to you directly.

2. Technology and software acquisition

One-time assistance of 50% of the cost of acquiring the latest technology or software, capped at โ‚น5 lakh per unit. The guidelines specify acquisition from an institute set up by the Government of India or the Government of Rajasthan โ€” so confirm the source institution qualifies before you commit to a vendor.

3. Quality certification and IPR

One-time reimbursement of up to 75% of cost, capped at โ‚น3 lakh per unit, covering quality certifications such as BIS and FSSAI, system certifications such as ISO and ZED, and Intellectual Property Rights. Testing and documentation expenses are included. Certifications may be obtained from any government agency, or an agency authorised by the Government of India or Government of Rajasthan. This head is open to medium enterprises too, not just micro and small.

4. Trade fairs and exhibitions

Fairs / exhibitions in Rajasthanโ‚น50,000 or 75% of stall rent, whichever is lessActual fare, 3-AC train or AC bus, 2 personsMax 3 events per financial year

Fairs / exhibitions abroadโ‚น2,00,000 or 75% of stall rent, whichever is lessEconomy class airfare, 2 personsMax 1 event per financial year

The two-year lockout most applicants miss

After taking benefit under any one of the three categories in a financial year, you cannot claim in that same category for the next two financial years. Planning an annual overseas exhibition on the assumption of yearly support will not work โ€” the next eligible international claim is two financial years later.

5. E-commerce platform fees

Reimbursement of 75% of total fees and commissions charged by e-commerce platforms โ€” excluding shipping fees โ€” up to โ‚น1 lakh per annum, for a maximum of 2 years. Available only to sellers of ODOP products, and only where the enterprise registered on the platform after notification of the Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024.

6. Cataloguing and website development

One-time assistance of up to 60% of expenditure, capped at โ‚น75,000, for cataloguing services and/or development of a fully functional transactional e-commerce website. Note the wording: a brochure site does not meet the description โ€” the guidelines specify a transactional website.

Application and approval

Where these claims usually come apart

A declaration in the prescribed application form makes the applicant liable to refund assistance with compound interest at 12% per annum, besides legal action, if the facts stated are found to be incorrect. Figures on this page are as per the Rajasthan ODOP Policy 2024 Scheme Guidelines signed 19 February 2025. Schemes are amended from time to time and operational guidelines may impose conditions not reflected here. Confirm current provisions before acting. Eligibility is determined solely by the sanctioning authority.
